Easton Scout Troop and Crew 532 spent a cool week with no bugs in the Poconos at Camp Trexler for summer camp. The group spent Saturday visiting " the world's largest country store" and swimming at Beltzville Lake along with stopping in the town of Jim Thorpe for homemade ice cream. On Sunday the group went to the " Liberty Bell Church" in downtown Allentown, Pa. to visit the museum and attend services. While at camp the group won the Cardboard boat race and a member of the troop, James Plaskon, won second place in the Iron Man race. Adult leader Mark Murray won the Shotgun shoot-off. The main thing was the great weather that had the scouts sleeping in winter sleeping bags. Scoutmaster Chris Potthast and Venture Crew Adviser Jeff Bell lead this fun group that meets at the Easton Elks.
